What makes a great uniform?
The experts behind the scenes. Our team may make it look effortless, but rest assured we put an immense amount of time and effort to be able to present our customers with an exceptional sweater. At Cobmex we pride ourselves in the quality of our sweaters. A great sweater consists of not only being practical but a sweater that provides performance, functionality, durability, reliability and comfortability. Our teams make sure all this is met before the sweater is handed over to our customers.
Tell us about an accomplishment you are particularly proud of?
I started working at Cobmex as a customer service representative and while customer service is a great job, I was eager for more. Within a month I was telling my manager that I was genuinely invested in growing with the company. Soon after showing my interest, I had an interview to become production coordinator. I’ve now been a production coordinator for 9 months.

It most certainly wasn’t planned but the amazing team that consists of people from all over the world. Everyone brings something new and valuable to the company. I believe that having a diverse staff benefits in the success of the company. Its intriguing how open minded and outgoing and accepting everyone at Cobmex is.
Who is your role model?
My Grandfather.
For his grace under pressure as well as his determination, intelligence, humour, strength and amazing work ethic. Slowly but surely he’s built some of these characteristics into me. He’s always supported my decisions and always tells me to reach higher. Which is what my goal is at Cobmex, to keep growing within the company.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
In 5 years I would have liked to grasp a full understanding of each department within the company. My long-term goal would be to be mentored by the amazing management we have at Cobmex. This way I can achieve my goal of becoming either Director of Sourcing and Production, Operations manager or a Logistiks and Distribution manager. All of this, inching me closer to becoming a VP within the company.
How do you overcome challenges in your industry?
By being open minded. There will always be challenges in every industry. However, we need to be open minded so we can better handle every situation. I think an excellent way to handle challenges is by understanding the situation that you are in and finding what’s challenging about it, then finding the correct approach to that situation so that it has a positive result.

I love to challenge myself with new projects. It helps keep me active in different aspects within the company as well as the benefit of the learning aspect I receive from any challenges that come within that project.
