Hilda Martínez has been an essential part of COBMEX® for 25 years. As General Manager, Hilda supervises all operations in Mexico to achieve consistent quality, timely deliveries, and ultimately, customer satisfaction. Hilda’s role is critical to COBMEX®’s mission of delivering high-quality uniform sweaters to global markets.
By collaborating with various teams throughout the business, Hilda ensures that our operation runs smoothly and that we continue to exceed expectations. She oversees all of COBMEX®’s Mexico production, including styles made with our proprietary Durapil™ and Durapil Ultra™ yarn and our OEKO-TEX-certified uniform sweaters. In addition to ensuring that our manufacturing process runs smoothly, Hilda innovates and helps implement sustainable practices throughout our factories.
Before joining COBMEX®, Hilda worked for a company that imported office equipment and furniture. Her experience in the manufacturing industry has been the foundation of her expertise.
When she first started at COBMEX® in 1997, Hilda was an administrative assistant responsible for answering calls, taking orders, and making labels. As the company grew, so did her scope of responsibility. In 2012, Hilda was promoted to General Manager of our first Mexico factory.
When asked about the most important part of her role, Hilda could not decide on one aspect and replied by saying, “Everything.” Hilda shows pride in what she does and tackles each task with care and attention to detail, whether big or small.

Hilda’s superpower is her leadership skills. She oversees multiple teams, including production, administration, accounting, HR, logistics, and purchasing, leading them with confidence and competence. Hilda’s love for her job inspires others to do their best work. She has been a mentor to her team and empowers them to grow in their careers alongside her. Her ability to motivate and encourage others has been instrumental in COBMEX®‘s success.
