Once again COBMEX® was front and center, sponsoring this year’s Annual Network Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD) Convention and Exposition in Reston, Virginia. As always, our team enjoyed meeting and interacting with many of our customers, partners, and industry experts. Any occasion to meet with like-minded industry professionals is an opportunity to learn from each other and help grow our industry.
This year’s theme, “Innovate, Integrate, Motivate” was all about innovation within the uniform space. Essentially, working on continuously improving the uniform industry for all parties involved: manufacturers, distributors, end users, and their employees. This year’s theme was particularly meaningful to us as it incorporates many of COBMEX®’s core values.
As always, it was great to meet with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, who are also, more importantly, friends that make up this very special community of interest that we are so proud to be a part of. We participated in networking events and breakout sessions and heard from many guest speakers including our very own Marketing Consultant, Steve Robins, who spoke about B2B Marketing Tactics. The conference was an opportunity for us to continue to learn while informing others within the industry about COBMEX®’s design detailed and technically advanced knitwear.
COBMEX® was the proud recipient of the NAUMD Convention and Exposition’s 2022 ‘Innovation Award for Garment Comfort’ for our Contemporary Collection. COBMEX®’s Contemporary Collection is STANDARD 100 certified by OEKO-TEX®. This award is a testament to our commitment as a company to consistently innovate. We are committed to offering products that are tested for harmful substances, and our goal is to ensure that our products are always ethically made and meet the highest safety standards while also being extremely comfortable.
In addition to the nnovation Award, COBMEX®’s Pricila Gomes Neal, won the ‘Rising Star Young Leader Award’. Pricila joined COBMEX® in 2017 as a Senior Product Developer & Technical Designer and has since been promoted to Director of Product Development & Technical Design. Pricila’s tireless passion, creativity and constantly evolving industry knowledge allows her to produce and design garments that are truly Beautifully Technical.
“Fashion has always come to me as second nature,” says Gomes Neal. “Through fashion I have discovered my style, embraced my creativity, and found my passion: Knitwear. Working at COBMEX® has provided me with many opportunities to further my curiosity and create truly unique products; that have a purpose. The commitment and passion I have witnessed in the uniform industry is second to none: an inspiration to those in other sectors.”
Pricila is the second COBMEX® executive to be awarded the NAUMD Rising Star Young Leader Award. Jon Edberg, Executive Vice President, also won this award in 2018.

We would like to congratulate all of the winners at this year’s convention. It is truly an honour to celebrate and recognize the brilliance within our amazing industry. We are lucky to be part of an industry that is privileged to help companies display their corporate pride and image through their uniforms. We would also like to give an honorable mention to Rick Levine, NAUMD’s Executive Director, for planning, executing, and hosting an amazing convention and continuing to advance the Uniform Industry.
The next NAUMD Convention and Exposition is scheduled for April 16-18, 2023, in Ravinia, Georgia. The theme in 2023 will be People, Process, Performance. COBMEX® is looking forward to attending and can’t wait to see everyone there!
